Paternal Preconception Health

Target audience: 28-38 year old biological males
Timeline: April 2025 - August 2026
Goals of the project:

Conduct informal interviews with the target audience and understand the communication gaps in terms of scientific knowledge and the media preferences.

Communicate about paternal preconception health and the biological pathways that govern it, a topic which is sparingly communicated, through a 2D/3D animation

Improving biological males’ understanding about the importance of their preconception health, discussing how lifestyle and diet factors affect sperm and seminal fluid health.

Help create a discussion around this topic and minimize the burden of pregnancy from biological females.
April 2025 – June 2025: Research into the topic, solidify the content of the topic and if possible and necessary, visit the research lab
July 2025 – December 2025:
Preproduction: Preparing storyboard (animatic), creating script -> with multiple revisions from meetings with BMC supervisors, Draft 2D illustrations, Prepare design guide (colour scheme, character design, molecular 3D visuals)
December 2025 – March 2026:
Production: Finalize storyboard, create 3D models and finalize 2D illustrations
March 2026 – July 2026:
Production: Full production into animation, sequence rendering, compositing
June 2026: Final touch-ups and extra revisions or time for extra troubleshooting
July 15, 2026 (Project Deadline): Final committee meeting (all members must be present) and sign off project
July-August 2026: Apply revisions from final committee meeting
